The conception of the idea of a MOBILE Truck Alignment took place during 1990 when LEON VAN HEERDEN - owner and principal of MTAC International - identified a deficiency in the heavy vehicle industry. Born and bred in the tyre game and passenger vehicle balancing and alignment he became aware of the desperation in the heavy transport industry where tyre life was short lived and very expensive.
In identifying that the road surfaces and -conditions in Australia were similar to those found in Southern Africa Leon investigated the prospects there. During 1996 Leon took hands with Bruce Reilly, (business award winner 1995), company principal and alignment expert of the Truck Align group of companies in Australia since 1977. Impressed with industry dedication and alignment techniques Leon incorporated the SAFE T STEER Portable Laser Alignment and Chassis measuring system in all his units. This has proved repeatedly to be an excellent choice in the infallibility, ease of handling and calibration of this equipment. Visit our products page.
